I had promised our readers to publish this photograph a long time ago.
It was taken on July 26, 1973, in occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the starting point of their terror career, which eventually led to their ascension to power through thuggery, violence, and death.
This was also at the heights of their openly fascist period, when the Nazi style cap and uniforms were adopted and goose-stepping in jackboots was all the rage.
A guest of honor in that date -not in the photograph- was General Augusto Pinochet.
Honestly, I always considered those flat top caps kind of ridiculous. They look like fucking gorras de guaguero, if you know what I mean.
